But what about another trend that’s catching on quickly? \u201cGen Zs aspiring to become millionaires before the age of 30. This is a reflection of a deeper story that is influenced by survival, generational trauma, and a desire to escape the cycles of adversity that their families once faced, even though it may seem ambitious or even unachievable to some.<\/div>\n\n\n

Is it selfish? Perhaps not. In fact, for many, this drive to build wealth isn\u2019t just about luxury\u2014it\u2019s about security. Many Gen Zs work hard for their families; this isn’t always self-serving, but it can be at times, particularly if they weren’t spoiled as kids. After years of sacrifice, they wish to return the favor by providing their parents with ease and comfort. It’s a struggle-shaped love language and a way of paying back. In this situation, wanting riches turns into more of a trauma reaction, a means of guaranteeing they won’t have to live the financially burdened lives their parents did, which frequently required them to choose between being present and providing for their needs. We don’t hold them responsible, but it has become a pledge that we will give up our livelihood as young adults to provide our parents with a comfortable retirement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Social Media’s Effect<\/strong><\/strong>
Social media, of course, is a major factor in promoting this way of thinking. Influencers promote hustle culture, side jobs, and passive income, portraying their success stories as models for others to follow. We are continuously curated with carefully produced reels of 25-year-olds purchasing condos, owning fancy cars, and traveling first class “just because.” The catch, though, is that not all of them are honest or transparent. For views, interaction, and, let’s face it, financial gain, many of these internet celebrities dramatize their experiences. Sincerity is frequently subordinated to virality in a society where being spoken about is valuable. Because ragebaiting is a type of publicity gimmick meant to increase their brand’s visibility, you should reconsider leaving a comment or sharing their articles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Take small steps first…<\/strong><\/strong>
Aspiring for more in life is a good thing, congratulations on wanting a better life! Dreaming, especially big ones, is perfectly acceptable. Burnout, however, starts when these aspirations turn into toxic expectations. To achieve the dream career, earn six figures, invest, travel, and glow up all at once, Gen Zs frequently put pressure on themselves to “get it right the first time.” However, there is no perfect timeline in life. The pressure to “make it” before a certain age is often self-imposed or born from comparison. Instead of obsessing over millions, prioritize stability.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n

\n\n

Start small. Establish attainable goals, then build momentum. Success should be viewed as a staircase rather than a trampoline. Bigger victories come from smaller ones. Learn to grow in ways where you treat knowledge and wisdom as your greatest teachers too. And keep in mind that you’re not behind just because someone else reached their milestone at 25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Final Over-Thoughts<\/strong><\/strong>
At the end of the day, stability is the true goal\u2014not just the perfect Instagram highlights. It\u2019s okay to want more, but it\u2019s also okay to take your time. Be inspired by others, but don\u2019t lose your sense of self. You can have an idol or an inspiration, but YOU will lead yourself into victory, not them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And when success does come\u2014stay humble. Not everyone needs to know your every move. Protect your peace, protect your plans. The evil eye is real, there are envious people everywhere. Stick to the plan you set out for yourself and never steer away from it. Maintain that vision and keep working towards it. Manifesting your dream life is easy, but working for it is a difficult path you should prepare for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As one ka-overthinker to another, I can\u2019t wait to see you living the dream you\u2019ve always wanted. Take this as a sign that you can start today or tomorrow, and still, it will never be too late.
