Pinuri ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang mga kumpanyang tumupad at sumunod sa responsableng pagmimina sa idinaos na 2023 Presidential Mineral Industry Environmental Award (PMIEA) sa Malacañang ngayong Miyerkules, Oktubre 16.
“This ceremony is a celebration of your commitment and your responsibility. It is a tribute to those who see mining as a profound opportunity to uplift communities and ensure environmental sustainability for generations to come,” mensahe ng Pangulo.
Ayon sa punong ehekutibo, hindi bababa sa 35 mining firms sa ilalim ng Surface Mining Operation, Quarry Operation, at Mineral Processing categories ang naglaban kung saan
13 sa bilang na ito ang napili at ginawaran ng parangal kabilang ang mga sumusunod:

– Eramen Minerals, Inc.
– FCF Minerals Corporation
– Hinatuan Mining Corporation – Tagana-an
– Taganito Mining Corporation

– Republic Cement & Building Materials, Inc. – Teresa

Matatandaan noong nakaraang taon nang buksan ng Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) sa ilalim ng Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) ang mga nominasyon para sa 2023 PMIEA.
Alinsunod sa Executive Order No. 399, series of 1997, ang PMIEA ay isang taunang aktibidad para sa mining groups at companies na nagpakita ng huwarang pagganap sa pangangalaga sa kalikasan at pagpapaunlad sa lipunan at komunidad.
