Kinumpirma ni House Secretary General Reginald Velasco na 25 mga kongresista ang dumagdag sa 215 signatories para sa impeachment case ni Vice President Sara Duterte matapos magpasa ng verification form sa House of Representatives.
Dahil dito, umabot na sa 80% o kabuuang 240 na mga mambabatas ang sumuporta sa impeachment ni Duterte.
Kabilang sa nagpasa ng verification forms ang buong LAKAS-CMD Party na sina Biñan Rep. Marlyn “Len” Alonte, Cagayan Rep. Ramon Nolasco Jr., Isabela Rep. Tonypet Albano, Lanao del Norte Rep. Mohamad Khalid Dimaporo, Leyte Rep. Carl Nicolas Cari, Masbate Reps. Richard Kho, Olga “Ara” Kho, at Wilton Kho, Negros Occidental Rep. Emilio Bernardino Yulo, Quirino Rep. Midy Cua, Sultan Kudarat Rep. Princess Rihan M. Sakaluran, at Pangasinan Rep. Ramon Guico Jr.
Humabol din ng kanilang pirma sina Ako Bicol Rep. Zaldy Co, Pangasinan Rep. Arthur Celeste (Nacionalista Party), Cavite Rep. Adrian Jay Advincula (National Unity Party), Tarlac Reps. Noel “Bong” Rivera (Nationalist People’s Coalition) and Christian Tell Yap (Sama-Sama Tarlac), Oriental Mindoro Rep. Alfonso Umali Jr. (Liberal Party), Ako Bisaya Rep. Sonny Lagon, GP Rep. Jose Gay Padiernos, Ako Ilocano Ako (AIA) Rep. Richelle Singson, Kabayan Rep. Ron Salo, Sagip Rep. Caroline Tanchay, Abono Rep. Robert Raymund Estrella, at ACT-CIS Rep. Edvic Yap.
Ayon kay Velasco, hindi personal na nakadalo ang mga mambabatas sa initial oath-taking at verification dahil nasa ibang bansa at kanya-kanyang distrito.
Nilinaw naman ni Velasco na nasa pagpapasya ngayon ng Senado kung papayagang maidagdag ang 25 na mga pirma sa impeachment complaint ni Duterte.
“The Senate has not yet convened so it will be up to them on what to do with these 25 members of the House of Representatives who have sent to us their verification,” saad ni Velasco. – VC
