Award winning action star and director Jackie Chan fainted during the fight scene for his upcoming film ‘Panda Plan’ which raised concerns among his fans.
According to the report of a Chinese media outlet, the 70 year-old actor was being head-locked by his co-star before limping then losing his consciousness.
He was then released by his co-actor with the crew running over to check on him. Chan regained his consciousness and appeared to be unaware of what happened to him.
“What are we doing?,” the actor asked the staff in confusion.
The crew then explained that he briefly passed out to which he was shocked. Chan then explained that it probably occurred because he was holding his breath during the stunt.
Later on, they continued shooting the scene after ensuring that the martial arts legend, who also insisted on going through with the shoot, is fine.
Meanwhile, Chan then explained in an interview that he has to assure the crew about his condition so that they will not need to have a stunt double for him.
“It’s not a big deal. I need to assure everyone else [that I’m fine]; otherwise, they would want me to use a stunt double. If I just sit there while they use a stunt double and they just film my close-ups after he’s done, I would feel very guilty!,” the actor stated.
His fans also expressed their concern towards the action star while urging him to finally refrain from doing dangerous stunts. – VC
