President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Friday ordered the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and other relevant government agencies to ensure the welfare of first responders.
Speaking during the aid distribution at the Ilagan City Community Center, President Marcos thanked the first responders anew who endured physical pain and other challenges to ensure the safety and welfare of their countrymen during the spate of typhoons in the country.
Kaya muli, tanggapin ninyo ang aking taos-pusong pasasalamat,” he said.
President Marcos encouraged first responders to continue their heroic deeds.
“Muli, maraming salamat. Mabuhay po kayong lahat,” he added.
President Marcos distributed a total of PhP 325 million in financial assistance to typhoon-hit communities in Cagayan.
