Bandang 4:30 a.m. ngayong Miyerkules, pormal na binawi ang utos at unti-unti nang umalis ang mga kapulisan at sundalo sa ‘parliament grounds’ ng bansa matapos ang isang cabinet meeting.
“Just a moment ago, there was a demand from the national assembly to lift the state of emergency, and we have withdrawn the military that was deployed for martial law operations,” pahayag ni SoKor President Yoon
“We will accept the National Assembly’s request and lift the martial law through the cabinet meeting,” dagdag pa niya.
Nitong Martes ng gabi, idineklara ng South Korean President ang batas militar dahil sa pinaghihinalaan nitong pakikisimpatya umano ng opposition parties sa komunistang North Korea. – AL
