For decades, Tang has been making mealtimes more delicious, more refreshing, and more exciting with its wide range of fruity flavors. It is a staple in every Filipino home, enjoyed by all members of the family.

Now, Tang is introducing another variant that is sure to be a hit among consumers looking to enjoy a glass of their favorite Tang orange juice—without the added sugar!

Introducing Tang Fruit+, an orange-flavored instant drink mix naturally sweetened with Stevia. It has no added sugar and offers the same delicious, refreshing real fruit taste of Tang, which Filipinos throughout generations have known and loved.

“Tang Fruit+ is a testament of the enduring relationship we have with our customers, providing them flavorful choices that align with their evolving lifestyle needs,” said Sam Dela Cruz, Senior Brand Manager of Tang Philippines.

“With Tang Fruit+, they get to enjoy a delicious, refreshing drink that satisfies not only their taste buds, but also their preference for a sugar-free alternative since it is naturally sweetened with Stevia,” Dela Cruz added.

Stevia is a plant-derived, all-natural sweetener commonly used as a substitute for table sugar. Despite it being sweet like sugar, it does not affect one’s sugar levels.

“Stevia comes from a plant called Stevia rebaudiana, also known as sweetleaf,” explained Dra. Imelda Angeles-Agdeppa, Scientist IV and Professional Regulation Commission Board Member for Nutrition and Dietetics.

“It is a popular, science-backed sugar alternative that can sweeten virtually all types of food and beverages. It is a great option for natural-origin sweetness,” she added.

“The launch of Tang Fruit+ is in line with our Mindful Snacking Strategy, which aims to provide consumers not just delicious food and beverage options, but also products that has less sugar, has been fortified with vitamins and minerals, and using more whole grains, among others – all while continuing to deliver delightful brand experiences,” shared Caitlin Punzalan, Corporate & Government Affairs Lead for Mondelez Philippines. -VC
