Binigyang-diin ng isang miyembro ng Kamara ang kahalagahan na makilala ang hitman na kinausap umano ni Vice President Sara Duterte upang ipapatay sina Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr., First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, at House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
Ayon kay Bukidnon 2nd District Representative Jonathan Keith Flores, ang mga pahayag ng bise presidente ay nagdudulot ng seryosong alalahanin sa pambansang seguridad.
“We must ascertain who this ‘mystery assassin’ is. Is this individual part of the Vice President’s trusted security detail, a member of the notorious syndicate, or a hired gun? The fact that Vice President Duterte claims to have personally communicated with this person, who allegedly agreed to her directive, indicates a close and trusted relationship,” saad pa ni Rep. Flores.
Sinabi rin niya na dapat agad makilala ang hitman kasunod ng utos ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin sa Presidential Security Command (PSC) na suriin ang lahat ng aspeto bago mahuli ang lahat.
“With the Vice President’s own admission, which she stressed ‘is no joke,’ and the fact that she is the primary beneficiary should the president be killed, VP Sara must be considered a person of interest,” dagdag pa ng kongresista.
Nanawagan din si Rep. Flores na repasuhin ang Vice Presidential Security and Protection Group (VPSPG) na itinatag ilang araw bago bumaba sa puwesto si FPRRD.
“It’s imperative that President Marcos reassess this setup. Perhaps it’s time to disband VPSPG altogether and just have PSC manage the security of both the President and Vice President under a single apparatus. Entrusting Vice President Duterte with her own ‘private army’ is concerning, especially given her recent statements,” ani Flores.
Hinimok ng kongresista ang mga awtoridad na magsagawa ng masusing imbestigasyon ukol sa pagbabanta sa buhay ng mga lider ng bansa upang matiyak na mangingibabaw ang batas at kaayusan. -VC
