This is how Pagudpud Mayor Rafael Ralph Benemerito described President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. who personally distributed financial assistance to the victims of typhoon Marce in the province.
In his speech, Mayor Benemerito expressed his gratitude to President Marcos and his administration for bringing the whole-of-government approach to Ilocos Norte to personally extend the necessary assistance.
“Apo Presidente, parang liwanag sa dilim ang pag-punta niyo dito sa bayan ng Pagudpud,” Mayor Benemerito told President Marcos and his Cabinet members during the aid distribution event at the Pagudpud Cultural and Sports Complex.
For his part, Ilocos Norte Rep. Ferdinand Alexander Marcos (1st District) thanked President Marcos for spending time with the victims of typhoon Marce and finding ways to extend assistance to them.
The younger Marcos assured the residents of the government’s continued support.
“Sisiguraduhin natin na kung ano man ang kailangan ng ating mga – na apektado sa bagyong Marce sisiguraduhin natin na makakarating ang tulong sa inyong lahat,” Rep. Marcos said.
President Marcos Jr. delivered over PhP70 million in livelihood and financial assistance to thousands of residents affected by Typhoon Marce, and inspected a seawall and a school damaged by the typhoon. (PND)
