Nanindigan si Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin na isang imbentong panloloko ang pahayag ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na paglipat umano ng administrasyong Marcos Jr. sa ‘dictatorship’ na pamumuno.
Sa isang pahayag, binigyang-diin ni Bersamin na nananatiling nakatutok si Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. sa pagsunod sa Konstitusyon, rule of law, gayundin sa pagrespeto sa karapatan ng sambayanang Pilipino.
“We treat the former president’s baseless and ridiculous statements in the same way that Filipinos are dismissive of them: a tall tale from a man prone to lying and to inventing hoaxes,” saad ni Bersamin.
“As our actions have consistently demonstrated, we will stay the course in upholding the Constitution, in adhering to the rule of law, and in respecting the rights of the people,” dagdag pa niya.
Iginiit din ng opisyal na hindi tutulad ang kasalukuyang administrasyon sa nagdaang pamumuno na ang mga kritiko ay pinakukulong dahil sa mga gawa-gawang kaso at ang utos na pagpatay ay isinasapubliko.
“It is the leader of that troubled past who is depicting us as veering toward a system where anyone can be deprived of life, liberty, and property without due process of law, as many had been on his mere say-so as a tyrant who did not respect the rights of the people,” pagbibigay-diin ni Bersamin.
