Inanunsyo ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) na extended ang mga pelikula ng Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) sa ilang piling sinehan hanggang sa Enero 14.
Ayon kay MMDA Chairman at concurrent MMFF overall Chairman Romando Artes, paraan nila ito ng pasasalamat sa mga Pilipino na patuloy tinatangkilik ang official entries ng MMFF.
“We, at the MMFF, are overwhelmed with the continued support of the public for the festival’s 50th edition,” mensahe ni Artes.
“Due to public clamor, we have decided to extend the theatrical run of the MMFF movies to further showcase the locally produced films that are truly impressive and artistically excellent,” dagdag niya.
Kaugnay nito, ang MMFF complimentary passes ay tatanggapin pa rin sa mga sinehan hanggang sa susunod na linggo.
Ipinabatid naman ng MMDA sa publiko na ang mga nalikom sa naturang festival ay mapupunta sa mga benepisyaryo sa film industry.
Kabilang ang Movie Workers Welfare Foundation (Mowelfund), Film Academy of the Philippines, Motion Picture Anti-Film Piracy Council, Optical Media Board, at Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP). – VC
