The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority is integrating its traffic systems with the eGovPH super app, allowing motorists to check violations, receive real-time alerts, view evidence, and pay penalties online through a single platform.

The eGovPH team led by Department of Information and Communications Technology Undersecretary David Almirol Jr. met with MMDA officials led by Chairperson Atty. Romando “Don” Artes to discuss the integration Tuesday at the MMDA Headquarters in Pasig City.

Integration is currently ongoing for three MMDA systems: the No Contact Apprehension Program, May Huli Ka, and Accidents and Traffic Alerts.

Once completed, the eGovPH app will enable users to check traffic violations, receive real-time alerts, view violation evidence, and pay penalties online.

“Easier. Faster. More hassle-free service because all government services are in one app,” officials said.

The integration represents the latest expansion of the eGovPH super app, which serves as the government’s unified platform providing Filipinos access to various government services and documents through a single mobile application.

MMDA’s No Contact Apprehension Program uses automated cameras to detect traffic violations without requiring physical apprehension by enforcers, capturing evidence of infractions like number coding, swerving, illegal parking, and other traffic rule violations.

The May Huli Ka system allows motorists to check whether they have pending traffic violations recorded by MMDA enforcement systems.

Accidents and Traffic Alerts provide real-time information on road incidents, congestion, and traffic conditions across Metro Manila’s major thoroughfares, helping motorists plan routes and avoid delays.

Online penalty payment functionality will eliminate the need for motorists to visit MMDA offices or payment centers, streamlining the settlement process for traffic violations.

The eGovPH app already provides access to digital copies of national IDs, driver’s licenses, PhilHealth cards, professional licenses, and other government documents, along with various transactional services.

DICT officials have emphasized the super app’s role in simplifying government interactions by consolidating services previously requiring separate applications or in-person visits across multiple agencies.

The MMDA integration follows the app’s continuous expansion, with over 36 million downloads and more than 400 million transactions processed since launch, according to DICT data.

Motorists can download the eGovPH app from Google Play Store, Apple App Store, and Huawei AppGallery to access integrated government services once MMDA systems are fully operational on the platform.

The collaboration demonstrates the Marcos Jr. administration’s efforts to leverage digital technology for improved public service delivery while promoting transparency and accountability in traffic enforcement operations. (JCO/PIA-NCR)
