
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Thursday welcomed an official delegation from the United Arab Emirates led by Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Experience Exchange, Abdulla Nasser Lootah, during a courtesy call at the Malacañan Palace.
Deputy Minister Lootah and officials from various UAE offices and sectors are in the Philippines from September 16 to 18 to attend the Philippines and UAE Government Experience Exchange Forum.
President Marcos expressed his appreciation to the government of the UAE for its support for the welfare of Filipino workers and in making the Philippines a partner in various mutually beneficial undertakings.
Deputy Minister Lootah was accompanied by UAE Ambassador to the Philippines Mohamed Obaid Salem Alqataam Alzaabi and other UAE officials.
During the courtesy call, Lootah expressed the UAE government’s interest to strengthen the bilateral relationship between the Philippines and the UAE, underscoring its extreme importance.
The Philippines and UAE Government Experience Exchange Forum seeks to capacitate government personnel from both countries through sharing of government experiences and best practices, in jointly pursuing the shared vision of innovative and future-ready governments.
The activity is organized by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) and the UAE Ministry of Cabinet Affairs. (PND)
