Itinalaga ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. bilang bagong kalihim ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) si dating Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) chief Vivencio “Vince” Bringas Dizon.
Kinumpirma ito ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin matapos ang pagbibitiw ni outgoing Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista sa kanyang pwesto dahil sa kanyang kalusugan.
Epektibo ang panunugkulan ni Dizon simula sa Pebrero 21.
“He is already authorized by the Office of the President to start the transition at the DOTr in coordination with the team of Secretary Jaime Bautista, who has resigned due to health reasons,” saad ni ES Bersamin sa isang pahayag.
Matatandaang malaki ang naging kontribusyon sa serbisyo noon ni Dizon bilang deputy chief Implementer of the National Action Plan laban sa COVID-19, chief testing czar at chief coordinator ng Test, Trace, Treat program noong pandemic era. – AL
