Princess of Wales Catherine Middleton receives a standing ovation from the audience upon arriving at the Wimbledon Championships 2024, world’s oldest tennis tournament, to witness the men’s singles final match in London on Sunday, July 14.
This is Great Britain’s Princess second public presence after stepping down from her royal duties last March, following her disclosure of cancer diagnosis and preventive chemotherapy treatment which is now in its early stage according to the palace.
As part of the tradition of giving away the prizes for this year, Kate handed out the Wimbledon trophy to Carlos Alcaraz of Spain who won the Grand Slam for two consecutive years.
She was accompanied by her daughter Princess Charlotte. -VC
