The running year is getting an early start.

After bringing 5,000 runners together for its inaugural staging in January 2026, the DailyFix Power Run returns in 2027 with a new distance for runners ready to take on a bigger challenge.

Organized in partnership with RunRio, the second edition of the event will feature 16K, 10K, 5K, 3K and 1K Dog categories, giving runners more ways to start the year with a goal—whether that means chasing a personal best, getting back into training or simply crossing the starting line for the first time.

Ready for 16K?

The biggest addition to the 2027 race lineup is the 16K category, giving more experienced runners an opportunity to test their endurance beyond the familiar 10K distance.

For runners building their race calendar for 2027, the 16K offers an early-year challenge that can serve as a benchmark for the months ahead—whether the goal is to improve pace, build distance or simply find out how far they can go.

But the Power Run isn’t only for seasoned runners.

The 10K remains a solid challenge for those looking to step up their distance, while the 5K provides an achievable target for runners working on consistency or pursuing a new personal milestone.

For those just starting out, the 3K offers a more accessible introduction to organized road running.

And for runners who don’t want to leave their best running buddy at home, the 1K Dog category brings fur parents and their four-legged companions into the race.

More Than Just the Finish Line

The inaugural DailyFix Power Run showed that not every runner arrives at the starting line chasing a podium finish.

For some, simply finishing the race was already an achievement.

One first-time participant and self-described non-runner joined the 2026 event “mostly for fun and to try something new, with zero expectations.” The experience, however, left the participant feeling proud and motivated to do it again.

That spirit was also reflected in the responses from participants such as Kristine Dela Cruz, who described the event as a “must-wait” and “must-join” run for the following year.

It is a familiar feeling in the running community: the first race can be about simply showing up. The next one can be about going farther.

For 2027, the addition of the 16K gives returning runners another reason to challenge themselves, while the shorter categories keep the event open to runners at different stages of their journey.

Starting the Year on the Move

For DailyFix, the Power Run is part of a broader message around everyday wellness and active living.

DailyFix is a granola and trail mix brand under Fly Ace Corporation, offering blends made with nuts, seeds and dried fruits for everyday breakfast and snacking occasions. Through its products and lifestyle initiatives, DailyFix aims to make everyday wellness more enjoyable, accessible and sustainable.

On race day, however, the focus will be on the runners themselves—the training, the early morning start, the kilometers covered and the feeling of reaching the finish line.

“Last year’s DailyFix Power Run showed us how ready Filipinos are to move, challenge themselves and celebrate milestones together,” said Abigail Ng-Reyes, Vice President for Marketing of Fly Ace Corporation.

The strong turnout of 5,000 participants in 2026 encouraged organizers to bring the event back with a bigger challenge and more opportunities for runners to participate.

Ng-Reyes said the goal is not necessarily about intensity, but about consistency and making the decision to become more active.

Whether it is a personal best, a return to running after a long break, a first race or simply another run with friends, the message remains simple: show up, take that first step and see where it takes you.

IBC-13 Returns as Media Partner

Intercontinental Broadcasting Corporation (IBC-13), which served as a media partner of the first DailyFix Power Run in 2026, returns as a media partner for the 2027 edition.

Through its broadcast and digital platforms, IBC-13 will once again help bring the event and its running community closer to a wider audience.

The continued partnership also gives IBC an opportunity to tell the stories behind the race—from experienced runners chasing new milestones to first-timers discovering the sport, and families and fur parents finding new ways to stay active together.

The Starting Line Awaits

With five race categories to choose from, the DailyFix Power Run 2027 offers runners different ways to begin the year: 16K. 10K. 5K. 3K. 1K Dog.

Different distances, different goals—but one starting line.

The race is set for January 10, 2027, at the SM Mall of Asia Complex.

Registration is now open.
