David Charlton, founder of salon megachain, David’s Salon, unexpectedly passed away and was announced last October 29th via his company’s social media platforms.
An outpouring of support from various industry partners followed this announcement.
During the wake, his daughter Laura Charlton, shared that David’s passing was unexpected as they were on a multi-leg company trip with 40 staff members. He spent his last days modeling leather, joking around with the staff, having a great time.
Laura exclusively told IBC TV 13 David passed away suddenly of a heart attack while in a restaurant en route to Cappadocia, Turkey.
“He was taken too young but he taught me a lot and he touched a lot of lives, not just in David’s Salon but in the Philippines with each haircut we gave. He will sorely missed,” she added.
David is survived by his wife Angela Charlton, his partner Joy, daughters Helen, Leigh, and Laura, and six grandchildren. -AL
