Aabot sa 15 bagong batas ang nilagdaan ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. sa gitna ng recess ng Kongreso mula Setyembre 26 hanggang Oktubre 30, 2024.
Kabilang sa pinirmahan ng Pangulo ang batas para sugpuin ang agricultural smuggling, palawakin ang judicial branches, at makabuo ng programa para sa academic recovery ng bansa.
Narito ang 15 bagong batas na nalagdaan sa gitna ng congressional recess:
1. Republic Act 12022 or the Anti-Agricultural Sabotage Act
2. Republic Act 12023 or the Digital Service Act
3. Republic Act 12024 or the Self-Reliant Defense Posture (SRDP) Revitalization Act
4. Republic Act 12025 or the act that established five additional branches of the Regional Trial Court in the National Capital Judicial Region, stationed in Muntinlupa City
5. Republic Act 12026 or the act that creates four (4) additional branches of the Regional Trial Court in the Fourth Judicial Region in the Municipality of Calauag, Province of Quezon
6. Republic Act 12027 or the act discounting the use of the mother tongue as medium of instructional from kindergarten to Grade 3
7. Republic Act 12028 or the Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) Program Act
8. Republic Act 12029 or the act that creates two additional branches of the Regional Trial Court in the Fourth Judicial Region, stationed in Silang, Cavite
9. Republic Act 12030 or the act that establishes three additional branches of the Metropolitan Trial Court in the National Capital Judicial Region, stationed in Parañaque City
10. Republic Act 12031 or the act that creates two additional branches of the Regional Trial Court in the Second Judicial Region, stationed in Cabagan, Isabela
11. Republic Act 12032 or the act that establishes three additional branches of the Regional Trial Court and two additional branches of the Municipal Trial Court in the Tenth Judicial Region, stationed in Dinagat Islands
12. Republic Act 12033 or the act that creates one additional branch of the Regional Trial Court, designated as a special court for drug cases, in Baybay City, Leyte, to strengthen anti-drug efforts.
13. Republic Act 12034 or the act that establishes six additional branches of the Regional Trial Court in the Ninth Judicial Region, stationed in Diplahan, Zamboanga Sibugay
14. Republic Act 12035 or the act that creates three additional branches of the Regional Trial Court in the Tenth Judicial Region, stationed in Valencia City, Bukidnon
15. Republic Act 12036 or the act that establishes four additional branches of the Regional Trial Court in the Eighth Judicial Region, stationed in Tacloban City, Leyte
Naniniwala si House Speaker Martin Romualdez na ang paglagda ni Pangulong Marcos Jr. sa 15 bagong mga batas ay patunay lamang sa kagustuhan nito na ihatid ang progreso para sa bansa.
Binigyang-diin din ni Romualdez na bahagi ng hakbang ni Pangulong Marcos Jr. ang mga bagong batas upang maihatid sa bawat Pilipino ang mas maayos at masaganang Pilipinas.
“The passage of these laws underscores our dedication to meaningful progress and a stronger future for every Filipino,” mensahe ni Romualdez.
Dagdag ng lider ng House of Representatives, simula pa lamang ang 15 bagong batas at mananatili itong dedikado sa lehislatura upang maihatid sa mga Pilipino ang kapayapaan, kaayusan, at kaunlaran. – VC
