United States of America (USA) President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy became entangled in a heated exchange as the two leaders discussed the handling of the war of Ukraine with Russia.

Zelenskyy, who came to the USA, was supposed to sign a deal with Trump which will allow the U.S. access for Ukrainian rare mineral rights and was believed to have moved the country closer to ending its war with Russia.

“You’re either going to make a deal or we’re out,”Trump told Zelenskyy in between their discussion.

Meanwhile, Zelenskyy took off earlier after his heated argument with Trump which prompted the cancellation of the two leaders’ news conference.

In a statement on social media following the meeting, Trump indicated the proposed deal is off.

“I have determined that President Zelenskyy is not ready for Peace if America is involved, because he feels our involvement gives him a big advantage in negotiations,” Trump wrote on his account.

Zelenskyy, meanwhile, thanked America, the Congress, and Trump for their support for his country and the visit he had.

“Ukraine needs just and lasting peace, and we are working exactly for that,” Zelenskyy stated.
